I haven’t done this in a couple weeks and I’ve missed it!  So, I’m back.

What I read last week:

Vampire Knight Volume 11 by Matsuri Hino

 What I’m currently reading:

An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen (Netgalley ARC)

What I’m reading next (hopefully):

Little Darlings by Melanie Goldring (Netgalley ARC)

Luck of the Draw by B. J. Daniels (Netgalley ARC)

On hold (temporarily):

Red Horizons: The True Story of Nicolae & Elena Ceausescus’ Crimes, Lifestyle and Corruption by Lt. Gen Ion Mihai Pacepa

This covers the last two weeks since I didn’t manage to get a post up last Monday.

Library Haul:

I’ve returned all my library books!  In an effort to try and read some of the books I already own, I’m trying not to add anything to my holds list either.

Mailbox Haul:

I signed up for Fresh Fictions’ Box Not to Miss and it arrived yesterday!  I received five print books – one of which was an ARC and two that are releasing in the next two weeks – and one ebook.  How cool is that?

The Last Note by Zaida Alfaro (ebook)

Better Not Pout by Annabeth Albert (print)

Wait for Me by Susan May Warren (print)

The Sixth Day by Catherine Coulter & J. T. Ellison (print – I’m excited for this since I’ve always wanted to read one of Catherine Coulter’s books)

The Au Pair by Emma Rous (print ARC)

The Room on Rue Amélie by Kristin Harmel (print)

Audible Haul:

Nothing yet.  I have one credit and am not sure what too use it for yet.

Purchased:

I BOUGHT NOTHING THIS WEEK!  I know, I know… but I’m excited becuase I thought I’d gone nuts, but the last thing I purchased was on November 20th.

Kindle Freebies:

The Last of the Stanfields by Marc Levy – this was my Amazon First Reads choice

Remember November Update:

Challenge #1 was to complete my Goodreads annual challenge.  That was complete before I made my first post.  Haha.

Challenge #2 was to clean up my TBR.  On this, I managed to read one of the two books I had.  I did make some progress on the other, but then I got distracted by other books. *sigh*  Story of my life.

Challenge #3 was to clean up my currently reading list on Goodreads.  I removed four books that I’m pretty sure I’m never going back to finish and I finished two.  I call this a win, even though my currently reading is back to an insane number of books. *sigh*

How was your November?  Are we looking forward to December yet?  I hope you all have a wonderful week!

  1. Curious about the Fresh Fiction box – would you mind sharing the cost and is it a monthly subscription?
I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

    1. Of course! It’s $25.95 a month (or you can do a three month for $74.85) and shipping is free in the US, which is a plus. Shipping tends to really bump up the prices on these boxes.

The link to it is here: https://www.freshfictionbox.com/

This was my first box from them and I was impressed, a variety of books, three of which aren’t even available yet.

Thanks and I appreciate you stopping by!

  2. You are organized and so on top of your reading.
My husband is hard to shop for also; he actually has more clothes and shoes than me! I really like The Black Witch; I’m actually reading it again because I read its prequel after buying it and then moved onto TBW. I want to finish it before buying the next, in-between book and then move onto the recent book two of the series.

    1. I think this is the only thing in my life that is organized, honestly! So, thank you. 🙂

It sounds like an excellent series. I’m going to have to add it to my TBR now. Husbands are here to make our lives difficult, I think. 😀

  3. Sounds like a good November for you. I still have a few more books to go on my Goodreads challenge. Fool’s Moon is on my list to read. I love the author. Have a great week!

    1. I have had a pretty good November actually! I was surprised. Fool’s Moon was really cute and I hope you enjoy it. This was my first by the author, but I’ll definitely have to read more now.

    1. It is! I’ve tried a couple so far and I think I’m going to stick with the book only ones. While the bookish ‘stuff’ is fun, I have enough ‘stuff’. Oooh… essential oils would make a great box! Check Cratejoy – they showcase all kinds of boxes and even have a way for you to sell your own boxes.

  4. Nice book haul! You have several that interest me but especially Better Not Pout. I have a collection of Catherine Coulter titles up to about 2012. I don’t have this series. Hope you enjoy all of your reading!

    1. Thanks! I’ve only managed about a chapter of Better Not Pout so far, but I’m liking both characters so far. I always enjoy my reading, even when the book isn’t great. Haha.

    1. Thank you!

I am really excited for THE AU PAIR. It sounds so good. I’m hoping that LITTLE DARLINGS is good, too. It was one of those impulse clicks when I was surfing Netgalley. Hahaha.

Thanks – and you as well!

    1. I was impressed with the box! I knew it’d be mostly romance but I was surprised at the variety – women’s fiction, a suspense novel, even a m/m Christmas book. OMG, that happens to me, too. It’s embarrassing, but hey, we’re not alone either. 😀

  5. I’m really curious to hear what you think of An Anonymous Girl. I’ve read some mixed early reviews and am still undecided if I want to go for it or not.

    1. Having been a psyche major at one point in my life… I really enjoyed An Anonymous Girl. But, I can also understand why some didn’t care for it. The story starts rather slowly, but definitely does pick up and keeps you wondering who is being truthful and who is lying.

  6. Wow, that’s quite a list of books you’ve been reading, with lots of variety!

I also need to clean up my Currently Reading folder on Goodreads – I don’t switch books to “Read” until I write the reviews, so I am a little behind!

Hope you are enjoying your books this week – thanks for stopping by my blog on Monday (again, a little behind!)

    1. I’m easily bored, so I try and mix it up as much as I can!

Ugh, my currently reading is always a mess. I need an intervention. 🙂

Thanks, I am so far. And hey, anytime I can put work off to read about books, I will. 😀
