The Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge is hosted by Long and Short Reviews. This week’s topic is: books I keep meaning to read but haven’t.
I’m going to alter this a bit to books I should finish but haven’t. I’m really bad about starting a book and then putting it aside for something else. So, here is a list of things that have been languishing on my currently reading list for some time now.
Promise of the Witch King by R. A. Salvatore: I started this book, took it upstairs, and… forgot about it. Since I don’t generally read in bed, it sits there, waiting.
And I Darken by Kiersten White: Not sure why I even stopped reading this as I was completely immersed in it.
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss: I’m actually back to listening to this in audio, so that’s something, I guess.
Dog Eat Dog Bundle by Hailey Edwards: I know I stopped reading this because it’s something like 5 novels and several short stories all wrapped into one e-book and I wanted to break it up and not read them all at once. Then, I think I forgot I even had it. Oops?
There are more but I’ll spare you the drama. What are the books you’ve been putting off reading?
Nice list! I love your reasons too. 🙂 I do that sometimes. Set a book down, and for some mysterious reason never get around to finishing it up.

Thanks! It’s usually because I picked up a review book or Netgalley granted my request to read something four months after I requested it. LOL

Interesting LIst – i do that too, put a book down and forget to go back to it.. Then I’ll pick up a book previously put down and finish it wondering why I quit reading. Sometimes, I think its the mood you are in. Don’t you? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! And yes, exactly. That wonder about why you ever stopped when it was so good. LOL

I’ve started The Name of the Wind several times now but never finished it. Someday I’ll go back to it again, too!

A fun take on the topic, Aymee. It’s pretty rare for me to start a book and not finish, unless I truly don’t like it. I recently gave up on The Men Who Stare at Goats… funny movie, but the book left me cold.

Thanks! Bummer that the book didn’t do anything for you though. I rarely DNF a book, but sometimes I forget that I’ve started them. 🙂

I haven’t read a Salvatore book ion ages. And Kiersten white is an author I want to try at some point.

I haven’t either and I used to love his books. I need to finish this one so I can get back at them! This series by Kiersten White is really good, but I have a weird fascination with Vlad Tepes, so take it for what it’s worth. LOL
