[Blogtober] Three Books I Meant to Read Last Year

…and flopped at.  Hah!

Although I’m going to tweak this just a tiny bit and change it to books I should have finished last year but didn’t.

And I Darken by Kiersten White.  I was really into this and then received a review book or something from Netgalley or saw something shiny… who knows why I stopped, but I did.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.  I have started and stopped this monster book a thousand times.  However, I have made progress – I’m finally at the 60% mark!

Raven Black by Ann Cleeves.  An online book group I belong to LOVES Ann Cleeves so I picked this up to read so I could join in with their adulation of the author.  Trouble is, it’s a huge paperback and… my hands hurt after only a few minutes of holding a print book.  I need this to go on sale for the Kindle.  Stat.

So, this is my tale of woe.  What does yours look like?

  1. I loved The Name of the Wind! I don’t know how I got through it either. Perhaps because I was too wrapped up in it. I still have the Wise Man’s Fear to read but I am going to wait until his 3rd book is out. Waiting always seems to ruin everything 😦
