There’s something about this time of year that makes you want to cling tightly to your loved ones. Not sure if it’s the change of seasons and moving towards a bleak winter or what.

Not sure how it happens in other parts of the country, but here in the desert southwest, this is pretty much it. Today, it’s going to be 80. But by week’s end? Who knows. It sneaks up on us here and surprises us.
